How do you book a week at Tafukt Surf?
Booking is by WhatsApp or email. Tafukt Surf is family-run, so the reply comes from the people who will meet you at the door, not from an agency inbox.
Send four things and we can usually answer in a single reply: your dates, how many of you are coming, which week or lesson you want, and roughly what you surf. We confirm availability the same day. A small deposit then secures the week, and the balance is settled on arrival in Imsouane. That is the whole mechanism — enquire, confirm, deposit, arrive, settle.

Keep the thread. A WhatsApp conversation or an email chain is your written record of exactly what was agreed, and it is worth more than memory on either side.
What does the deposit actually do?
The deposit is what turns a provisional date into a confirmed booking. Before it is paid we can tell you a week looks free; after it is paid, that week is yours.
We confirm the deposit amount and how to send it directly with you rather than publishing it — ask in your first message, and get that answer before you book flights rather than after.
When is the balance due?
On arrival, at the surf house. You travel having paid only the deposit and settle the rest once you are here.
Ask which payment methods we can take at the point we confirm your booking. It is a small question with practical consequences, because it decides how much cash you want to be carrying on the road from Agadir.
What are the cancellation and change windows?
We confirm cancellation and date-change terms with you directly, in writing, when we confirm the booking. They are not something to infer from a general page, so ask — and ask before the deposit, not after.
Three things worth asking explicitly, in the same message:
- What happens if I cancel, and does that change as the date gets closer?
- Can I move the booking to different dates, and how late can I do it?
- What happens if my flight is cancelled or I land a day late?
Independently of our terms, travel insurance covering cancellation is normal for a trip built around non-refundable flights. It covers things no surf camp’s terms can.
How far ahead should you book?
North-west Atlantic swell is most consistent from September to April, and December to February is the biggest and busiest part of the season. If you want particular dates in that window, or rooms that suit a family travelling together, ask early. May to August brings the smallest surf and is the easiest time to learn.
With around 340 days of sun a year, the weather is rarely the deciding factor here. Swell size and crowd are.

What we need from you
- Your dates and the number of nights.
- How many guests, and whether you need rooms that suit a family travelling together.
- Surf experience, honestly stated — it decides which group you join, and groups in the water are capped at five.
- Flight details if you want a transfer: roughly two hours from Agadir Al Massira (AGA), about four from Marrakech.
- Anything we should know about food or health, so we can tell you what we can do rather than promise blind.
- Whether you are bringing your own board. You are welcome to; board and wetsuit are included either way.
We speak English, French, German and Arabic, so write in whichever is easiest for you.
Getting here from the airport
Send your flight number and landing time when you book and we arrange the transfer — Agadir is around two hours away, Marrakech around four, and Essaouira sits about 90 minutes to the north.
If you would rather make your own way, agree the fare before you get in the vehicle. That is normal practice in Morocco, and what you are quoted moves with the hour, your luggage and the season. Shared grands taxis are usually the cheapest way to travel between towns; a private transfer costs noticeably more and takes you to the door.
