A week at Tafukt Surf in Imsouane, Morocco covers seven nights in our family surf house, five guided sessions with ISA-certified coaches, and board and wetsuit throughout. Homemade meals cooked by Aïcha are part of every surf week, including shared rooftop dinners. The Surf & Yoga Week adds five rooftop yoga sessions and a traditional hammam. We confirm the cost by WhatsApp or email.

What does a week at Tafukt Surf include?

Seven nights, guided sessions in the water, and the gear. That is the shape of every week we run. You sleep in the surf house about five minutes from the line-up, you eat with the family, and your board and wetsuit are waiting when you arrive — nothing to hire on the side, nothing to check in at the airport.

Tafukt Surf is family-run: two surfing brothers, Mhend and Mohamed, and their mother Aïcha. We describe it as opening our home rather than running a hotel, and a week here is built that way. Dinner is on the rooftop with everyone at the same table.

What does a week cost?

We don’t put a figure on this page. Rates move with the season and with the room, and a number written here months ago is worse than no number at all. Send us your dates by WhatsApp or email and we confirm both availability and the cost the same day. A small deposit secures the week and the balance is settled on arrival.

Where do you sleep?

The surf house sits about five minutes from the water. There are rooms that suit families travelling together, and a rooftop that does most of the work of a common room: yoga in the morning, sunset in the evening, dinner after that.

Room layouts, check-in times and anything specific to your group we confirm directly when you enquire — ask us on the contact page and you get a real answer for your dates rather than a general one.

What’s on the table?

Aïcha cooks. Bread is baked each morning, tajines go on slowly, and mint tea appears more often than you expect. Surf weeks include homemade meals and family dinners, and the Surf & Yoga Week makes a point of slow-food dinners on the rooftop.

If you eat differently — allergies, vegetarian, anything else — tell us when you book. We’d rather confirm what we can do for you than promise it here.

How much time do you actually get in the water?

Five guided sessions across the week on the Surf Camp Week and the Surf & Yoga Week; the Surf Development Week is coached daily and adds tides, theory and reading the line-up. Groups in the water are capped at five, and our coaches are ISA-certified and compete at home and abroad.

Sessions follow the wind rather than the clock. Mornings are usually cleanest here and onshore wind tends to build after midday, so most sessions run early. Magic Bay, the main wave, is a right-hand point of roughly 800 metres that peels over sand for much of its length — forgiving enough for a first week and long enough for a tenth. Cathedral Point, on the exposed side of the headland, is more powerful and breaks over rock.

When should I come?

MonthsSwellWaterBest for
May–AugustSmallest of the yearAround 20–23 °CLearning, kids, families
September–NovemberNorth-west swell turns consistentCooling from summer towards winterBeginners progressing, intermediates
December–FebruaryBiggest and busiestAround 17–20 °CConfident surfers; book early
March–AprilStill consistent, usually quieter than midwinterAround 17–20 °CIntermediates wanting space

A 3/2 wetsuit covers most of the year, and we keep 3/2 and 4/3 in every size. Imsouane gets around 340 days of sun a year, so the sun is rarely the variable — the swell is.

What isn’t part of the week?

Flights are yours to book, into Agadir Al Massira (AGA). We arrange airport transfers from Agadir, about two hours away by road, or from Marrakech, about four — send your flight details when you book and we confirm what your transfer involves.

Activities are arranged alongside a week rather than assumed into it: Moroccan cooking with Aïcha, sandboarding, surf-skate, a day in Paradise Valley, the Agadir souk. And if you’d rather bring your own board and suit, that’s completely fine.

If a full week is more than you want

Daily lessons run all year. A group lesson is two hours with up to five surfers, semi-private is two hours for two or three people, private coaching is two hours one-to-one with video analysis, and the kids lesson is 1h30 from age six. Board and wetsuit are included in every one of them. Rental is available on its own, daily or weekly.

Compare the three weeks side by side on surf weeks, check formats and durations on lessons, see what we keep in stock on rental, and browse the activities if you want something on the flat days. When you’re ready for a figure, message us with your dates through the contact page — we answer the same day.

Questions & answers

What is included in a surf week at Tafukt Surf?
Every week is seven nights in the surf house in Imsouane, with guided surfing and your board and wetsuit included. Homemade meals and family dinners are part of the surf-week packages. The Surf & Yoga Week also includes five rooftop yoga sessions and a traditional hammam, and the Surf Development Week includes daily video analysis and spot-chasing up the coast by 4x4.
How much does a week cost?
We confirm the figure directly when you enquire rather than publishing it, because it depends on the week you choose, your dates and the room. Message us on WhatsApp or by email with your dates and we confirm availability and cost the same day. A small deposit secures the week and the balance is settled on arrival.
Do I need to bring my own board and wetsuit?
No. Boards and wetsuits are included in all lessons and surf-week packages, and we keep 3/2 and 4/3 suits in every size along with boards from soft-tops to performance shortboards. You are very welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer your own gear.
Are meals included in the week?
Yes — surf weeks include homemade meals and family dinners. Aïcha bakes bread each morning and cooks slow-tajines, and dinner is usually eaten together on the rooftop. If you have allergies or a particular diet, tell us when you book and we will confirm what we can arrange rather than promise it in advance.
Is the airport transfer part of the week?
We arrange transfers from Agadir Al Massira airport, roughly two hours away, or from Marrakech, roughly four. Send your flight details when you book and we will confirm exactly what your transfer involves. Ask on the contact page and we will answer for your specific arrival time.
Can a complete beginner book a surf week?
Yes. Magic Bay is a long right-hand point that peels over sand for much of its length, which makes it unusually forgiving for a first week. The Surf Camp Week and Surf & Yoga Week both suit beginners; the Surf Development Week is for intermediate surfers and up.
