What can you rent at Tafukt Surf?
Our rental quiver runs from soft-tops through to performance shortboards, so it covers a first-ever wave and a solid winter session at Magic Bay. Alongside boards we rent wetsuits in 3/2 and 4/3, in every size, and surf-skates.

What does rental actually cost?
We don’t publish figures, because what you pay depends on how long you take the gear and what you take. What we can tell you is how the options compare.

Weekly always works out lower per day than daily. Booking is by WhatsApp or email; we confirm availability the same day.
Which board should you take?
Magic Bay is roughly an 800-metre right-hand point that peels over sand for much of its length. It is unusually forgiving, which is why beginners and experienced surfers share the same wave here. That shapes the board choice.

Cathedral Point, on the exposed side of the headland, is more powerful and breaks over rock — a different proposition, and not the place to be on borrowed confidence.
Which wetsuit, and when?
Water temperature is around 17-20C in winter and 20-23C in summer. A 3/2 covers most of the year. We keep 4/3 suits in every size for the coldest stretch or for surfers who chill quickly on long sessions.

When does renting beat bringing your own board?
Rent if you are here for a week or two, if you are still working out what you like to ride, or if you want to swap boards as the swell changes through the week. Rental means no board bag at check-in, no oversize handling at Agadir Al Massira, and no dings to repair before you can surf.
Bring your own if you ride something specific you cannot replace, if you are staying for a long stretch, or if you are already travelling with a board for a longer trip up the coast. Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment.
The honest test for a one-week trip: compare your airline’s board-bag fee, both directions, against a weekly rental. Add the risk of damage in transit, and the days you would lose waiting on a repair. For most people on a single week, rental comes out ahead.
How does pick-up work?
The surf house is about five minutes from the line-up, so you collect gear and walk down. We help you match a board to the conditions that morning — mornings are usually cleanest here, with onshore wind building after midday, so the board that works at eight is not always the board that works at two.
If you are unsure what to take, take the bigger board first. Catching more waves teaches faster than riding the right board badly.
